WHY CAN’T I PICK MY SEAT NOW?
Tesloop has recently been asked to modify our operations to meet some requirements of the permit issued to us by the state. This is a temporary change.
Because we’re transporting multiple parties on the same trip, we will be considered a “sightseeing” company. This means during your trip, your Pilot will be briefly noting “points of interest” while underway. This also means we will have seating that is first come, first served. However, please note - 3rd row seating will not be available. With this new system, you will only be able to sit SHOTGUN or SECOND ROW- behind the driver or behind shotgun.
HOW CAN I ENSURE I GET SHOTGUN?
You cannot, at this point in time, ensure you get shotgun, as seating is first come first serve.
CAN I SIT IN THE 3rd ROW?
You will not have to sit in the 3rd row seat, as we are not selling that seat during this time. You will be seated either in shotgun, or behind the driver or passenger.
WHAT KIND OF SIGHTSEEING?
You will not be asked to get out of the vehicle. Most of the sightseeing will take place with the vehicle in motion. In occasional cases it may be while the car is charging at a Tesla Supercharging station.
You can see the additional offerings on Tesloop’s website at tesloop.com/sightseeing
HOW LONG WILL YOU BE A SIGHTSEEING COMPANY?
Tesloop is applying for an additional authority issued by the California Public Utilities Commission, called a PSC (Passenger Stage Corporation), and we expect to have this in February or March. Once we have been granted the additional authority we will no longer be required to be a “sightseeing” company. In the meantime, we ask that during your trip, you listen to information about some relevant points of interest.
